  1. Press and hold MENU until Configuration Menu is displayed.
  2. Navigate through the menu to dislay Service Message=ON.
  3. Turn it "off" and press ENTER.

  2. Press ITEM to dislay Service Message=OFF.

  2. Turn the printer off. Install the new JetDirect card and connect the network cable.
  3. Turn the power on and wait for the printer to reach the READY or ONLINE state.
  4. Press .
  5. Press Δ or to scroll to CONFIGURE DEVICE. Press .
  6. Press Δ or to scroll to I/O. Press .
  7. Press Δ or to scroll to EIO 1, 2, OR 3 (if installed) or EMBEDDED JETDIRECT. Press .
  8. Press Δ or to scroll to TCP/IP. Press .
  9. Press Δ or to scroll to CONFIG METHOD. Press .
  10. Press Δ or to scroll to MANUAL. Press .
  11. Press Δ or to scroll to MANUAL SETTINGS. Press .
  12. Press Δ or to scroll to IP ADDRESS. Press .
  13. Enter the first octet of the IP address using the Δ and buttons. On LaserJets 9000/9050/9500 you may use the numerical keypad to enter these values.
  14. Press . Repeat the previous two steps to enter the second, third, and fourth octets.
  15. Press Δ or to scroll to SUBNET MASK. Press .
  16. Enter the first octet of the subnet mask using the Δ and buttons.
  17. Press . Repeat the previous two steps to enter the second, third, and fourth octets.
  18. Press Δ or to scroll to DEFAULT GATEWAY. Press .
  19. Enter the first octet of the default gateway using the Δ and buttons.
  20. Press . Repeat the previous two steps to enter the second, third, and fourth octets.
  21. If required, Δ or to scroll to and configure SYSLOG SERVER and IDLE TIMEOUT using the same method.
  22. Once you have completed the configuration, press < to return to the main menu.

Color LaserJet 4600, 4650, 5500, 5550 & 9500 printers
